Leather and Other Wallets
Before men's wallets became known as a medium in which to store currency, leather pouches were used since coins were the only currency known then. Wallets became popular when paper currency was introduced in the West during the seventeenth century. The earliest leather wallets were very tough, and they were made out of cow or horse hide.
If earlier wallets were for storing bills and coins, modern mens leather wallets are not that different except for the card slots which were added after credit cards have been introduced in the 1950s. The only notable variation in wallet varieties was in the '70s when Velcro wallets introduced. Wallets nowadays come in all shapes, sizes, and designs.
There are leather wallets that can be strung around the neck with a leather string. This is to keep them hidden.
Men's wallets are quite basic. A bifold is enough for them. For women, there should be one wallet for every occasion and for every outfit. Here are the different traveling wallets for women:
* For women who are always on the go, there's the handy front pocket wallet. This is flat and rounded making it easier for the owner to carry it around on the front pocket. Despite the space-saving feature of the front pocket wallet, it can hold cash, cards, change, and IDs. These wallets are made of Napa leather and are available in brown and black. But you might also want those that has a little splash of colors like pink, blue, and green.
