Atlanta Falcons Merchandise

Even though their are problems in the falcons camp the Atlanta fans are getting ready to support the falcons. Atlanta Falcons Merchandise is selling like crazy. Falcon fans are not fair weather fans.
Michael Goodell and David Stern have some very tuff decisions to deal with for their respective sports. Bobby Petrino will start his career as the new head coach for the Atlanta Falcons with the Michael Vick situation. His statement is that he is disappointed that Michael has put himself in this situation. I could not agree more. If Michael did not do anything wrong (which is not the way things are looking) then he should be ok and be back as the starting qb of the Falcons. But if he had anything to do with this horrible crime of dog fighting, he should get the same punishment anyone else would get. He should also lose the right to be a person that young people look up too. And furthermore if he was not extremely involved but only allowed some of his so called friends to do this in his home and he is not willing to come forward and cooperate with the authorities then he should be willing to receive the punishment due him for doing so. He you are committed enough to cover for criminals then you should be committed enough to handle the punishment.
Personally I agree with Emmitt Smiths statement of Michael needs to look at leaving some of his old so called friends behind. By the way if any of Michaels so called friends read this and are offended. Maybe you should look at your friendship and see if you care enough about Mike to allow him to take the fall for you.
David Stern is having to deal with the alleged wrong doings of Tim Donaghy, the rouge official that has been accused of fixing basketball games. Tim Donaghy has been accused of betting on basketball games that he was calling. It is thought that he may have made calls to affect the outcome of these games. Can you imagine the way players will feel next season when questionable calls are made against them. NBA fans are looking forward to an intresting year

July 18, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Micheal Vick of the Atlanta Falcons has been indicted for dog fighting and is accused of the brutal deaths of 8 dogs. Many voices on the internet and sports forums have stated their opinion that Vick would NOT be indicted on these charges.
Vick’s court appearance is scheduled for July 26, which is reportedly the same day the Atlanta Falcons training camp practice begins. I am sure this story will receive alot of press in the news and there will be great speculation about how the Atlanta Falcons owners and managers will respond.

Lantos raised the prospect of government intercession if ye NFL neglect to discipline Vick.
“I atomic number 95 outraged that single from ye National Football League’s superstars is attached with such a heinous endeavour,” Lantos pen.
Finis month, police raided a Virginia home owned by Vick and allegedly found evidence of a major domestic dog-combat operation, including dozens off malnourished and injured domestic dog. The quarterback has denied any wrongdoing, and no criminal charges have been filed against him.

The NFL hour angle said repeatedly it is investigation ye causa to find out whenever Vick profaned the commissioner’s tougher touchstone for participant who run foul from the law. Reached Fri, Falcons spokesman Reggie Roberts reiterated the squad’s policy of not commenting until ye investigation is realised.

JaMarcus Russell, former QB of LSU Tigers, is headed for the Oakland Raiders. JaMarcus was the first pick of the first round in the NFL 2007 draft. He finished his junior season at LSU with 28 touchdown passes and 8 interceptions. He had the second most touchdown passes (52) and second highest completion percentage (61.9) in LSU history.
Russell is 6 foot 6 inches, 260 pounds and described as having a “rocket arm.”
Russell has already been practicing with the Raiders and his “strong arm” has been the main conversations of his teammates.
The Raiders offense scored only 12 touchdowns last season, so selecting JaMarcus Russell is huge for their future.
LSU’s loss will be the Raiders gain. This tremendous athlete will be a QB in the NFL to be reckoned with for many years to come. Russell has an arm of a rocket launcher and the presence on the field to lead other players to championships. So it want be long before we should be seeing the Raiders in many post season games. And then it can’t be long before we see the Russel lead Raiders in the Super Bowl.
Troy Smith Being “Short-Changed”
March 2, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Many observers are quite down on Troy Smith’s NFL potential after viewing him at the NFL Combine. This according to Mike Kils (Denver Post) 2/27 Article, who says that many media members enjoy tearing Heisman Trophy winners off of their perch.
On the heels of Smith’s poor performance in the BCS Championship game in which he completed just four passes for 35 total yards, critics point at Smith’s small stature as one reason why he’s not NFL caliber. Frustrated with being constantly reminded of that, Troy Smith snapped at one reporter. ”"You make it sound like being 6-foot is a disease,” Smith said.
Kils’ article speculates that further questions about Smith’s arm strength may have him not picked until the 2nd day of the NFL Draft when team’s are just filling in roster spots.
